Busy - new equipment

It has been an very busy week. New Nike Bauer products are out, well most of them. Here's a rundown and some pics (Just the gloves for now.)

One95 skates: They are the bee's darndest knees! They fit deeper than their predecessor, the One90, and are a tad wider (I can wear a 6D with little discomfort, I am usually a EE in Nike Bauer). I have a few good friends wearing them so far and they are nuts about them. The new "Alive" material is extremely effective in molding the skate to your foot. Problems with the tedon guard seem to be addressed as well.

One75 skates: Very similar to the One90s.

Vapor XXXX /Vapor XXX Pro gloves: If La-Z-Boy made a recliner for your hand, this would be it. The difference between these two gloves is pretty similar to the differences between the Vapor XXX and Vapor XX. The XXXX has a nylon skin with a soft nash palm. XXXX has a synthetic leather/nylon skin with a segmented palm with damper zone as well as an adjustable cuff. Very good padding on the side. The XXXX has a Nike Grip on the top of the palm padding inside the glove. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet.
Note that these fit a bit more snug than the previous Vapor line. I wear a 13" Vapor XXX, but if I was getting XXXXs I would most likely buy a 14"

Vapor XXXX shoulder pads: Possibly more mobile than my Sher-Wood 5030 classics!! Very strong construction in the stitching and straps and the velcro appears durable. Adjustable front width is a great addition that is lacking in most top end shoulder pads. While the spinal protection seems similar to the One90, the chest protection is not as thick. Adjustable biceps.

Vapor XXXX pants: Nothing too new here. Really similar to the XXXLite pants, which are pretty bad ass.

Vapor XXXX shin pads: Well constructed. Improved straps as the One90s had nylon straps that were insufficient for chunky calves like mine. Thin cut.

We should be receiving the Vapor XXXX elbow pads next week 9500 helmets on 6/15.
